Kryalos SGR

For Kryalos SGR, we designed and installed a UNI EN 795 Type D fall arrest rail system, ensuring operator safety during façade cleaning operations without compromising the original architectural design.

Introduzione al Progetto

Kryalos SGR’s requirement was clear: to install a safe and functional system for cleaning glass façades, specifically for use by rope access technicians. The solution had to provide maximum safety and practicality for the staff while maintaining the building’s aesthetic integrity.

Work Phases

Structural Analysis of the Building

Since the building had been completed for years and was in use as corporate offices, the primary challenge for our engineers was identifying the load-bearing structure for the rail supports. To achieve this, we:

  • Conducted an in-depth analysis of the structural blueprints.
  • Performed on-site inspections, including the removal of finishing elements to expose the building’s steel skeleton.

Design of the Fall Arrest Rail

Following a comprehensive study of load requirements and technical specifications, we engineered a fall arrest rail compliant with UNI EN 795 Type D standards. C.T. SAFE technicians developed detailed blueprints, designing and manufacturing bespoke components to anchor the rail to the structure.

Structural Anchoring

The C.T. SAFE installation team proceeded to:

  1. Install the rail supports onto the iron structure.
  2. Remove ceiling panels and cladding on the upper floor to access the primary load-bearing frame.

Panel Reinstatement and Rail Fitting

After completing the internal installation, the cladding panels were closed, leaving only the rail supports visible. The UNI EN 795 Type D fall arrest rail was then secured to these supports, completing the hardware installation.

Custom Trolley Integration

With the rail positioned along the entire perimeter of the building, we installed custom-designed trolleys for secure rope attachment. These bespoke trolleys allow rope access operators to work in total safety during façade cleaning and maintenance.

Guaranteed Safety and Efficiency

Thanks to the fall arrest rail and custom trolleys, operators can perform façade maintenance with maximum security. This solution integrates advanced technology and personalized engineering, delivering excellent results for the client.

Conclusion

The Kryalos SGR project is a prime example of how tailored solutions can overcome complex technical challenges, ensuring safety and efficiency without compromising building aesthetics. With a system compliant with UNI EN 795 and custom-engineered components, the client can rely on a dependable solution for glass façade maintenance.

This intervention underscores C.T. SAFE’s commitment to providing innovative and precise solutions, proving that safety can always be combined with quality and attention to detail.
